Phase 5 — Run your first workflow
The moment it clicks: one real deliverable, produced by the system, reviewed by you.
By now the system is installed and at least one workflow from your constraint map is live. This guide is the pattern your team repeats forever.
The universal pattern
- Open terminal →
cd agency-os→claude - Say what you need, in plain language, with the client's name:
Run the monthly report for ACME for last month.
Build the campaign from this brief: [paste the doc link]
Write 3 ad copy variants for ACME's summer promo, their usual tone.
- The system asks when something's genuinely missing, otherwise it works: pulls the data, produces the deliverable, runs its verification gate, and hands you the output with a link.
- You review before anything reaches a client. Campaigns are always created paused. Reports land as drafts. The human stays the last gate — that's by design, not a limitation.
What to do when output isn't right
Say so, specifically, like to a junior teammate: "the intro is too formal, and use the March numbers, not February." It fixes and re-verifies. If the same problem repeats twice, that's a system gap — tell us and we patch the skill so it never happens again. That's how the system compounds.
Habits that make it compound
- One brief, not twenty micro-instructions. Give context up front: client, goal, deadline, links.
- Feed it your documents. Client onboarding notes, brand guides, past reports — the system reads your repo. The more truth lives there, the less you repeat yourself.
- Name the client every time. The registry does the rest (account IDs, folders, links).
- When you learn a rule, write it down — or tell Claude "remember this for ACME: never mention pricing in ads." It goes in the right file and applies forever.
Where to go from here
- Browse the Skill library to see what else your system can take over.
- Your roadmap shows which workflows are queued next for your install.
- Weekly office hours (first month) — bring anything. After that, the care retainer keeps us on call.
